JULIAN: Princess Laurinda, welcome. It is lovely to have you here. We are here to talk about something new, mysterious and perhaps a little addictive — Bloom After Dark. How does it feel to finally open the door to this new project?
PRINCESS LAURINDA: Thank you, Julian. It feels exciting because we are not opening the whole door yet. [laughs] We are only leaving it slightly open.
Bloom After Dark is a new chapter created through DJ Laurinda XShows × Princess Laurinda iArt Gallery × Nexth iTV. It brings music and visual art together in a cinematic world of love, desire, summer nights and midnight dreams.
JULIAN: So we should not expect you to reveal everything today?
PRINCESS LAURINDA: Definitely not. A little mystery is good for the soul. [laughs]
I can tell you that the album moves between Dark Romantic Pop, Dream Pop, Cinematic Pop, Dark Electronic and Electro R&B. But the music is only one part of the story.
JULIAN: The other part is the visual world created by Princess Laurinda iArt Gallery?
PRINCESS LAURINDA: Exactly.
At Princess Laurinda iArt Gallery, we are exploring AI Art, Visual Art, Oil Painting and Digital Art as part of the musical experience.
Each song has its own emotional atmosphere. Sometimes it feels like a painting. Sometimes like a film. Sometimes like a memory you are not quite sure actually happened.
JULIAN: That sounds deliberately mysterious.
PRINCESS LAURINDA: It is. [laughs] I don't want to explain every dream before people have had the chance to dream it.
JULIAN: Let's talk about a few of the songs, without giving away the entire album. What can you tell us about Strawberry Rush?
PRINCESS LAURINDA: Strawberry Rush is the first invitation.
It is sweet, playful and sensual, but there is something underneath the sweetness — attraction, temptation and a secret feeling that refuses to disappear.
The strawberry becomes a symbol of that first rush of desire.
JULIAN: And then Venice Love takes us somewhere completely different.
PRINCESS LAURINDA: Yes. Venice after midnight.
Moonlight on the water, golden lights, quiet streets and two people sharing a moment they don't want to end.
Venice Love is romantic, but it also carries memory. It asks what happens when a beautiful moment becomes something you carry with you.
JULIAN: I imagine Palm Trees & Paradise brings a little more heat.
PRINCESS LAURINDA: Much more heat. [laughs]
It has tropical atmosphere, freedom, sensuality and a slightly rebellious energy.
But this is not a postcard version of paradise.
It is paradise after dark — beautiful, cinematic and perhaps a little unpredictable.
JULIAN: I like that. What about Get Lost in You?
PRINCESS LAURINDA: That one explores surrender.
Sometimes attraction becomes so powerful that you stop trying to understand it.
You simply get lost in the feeling.
JULIAN: And Wildfire Summer?
PRINCESS LAURINDA: Passion.
A summer feeling that starts quietly and suddenly becomes impossible to ignore.
It brings a stronger, more dramatic energy into the album.
JULIAN: You also have Vitamin Sea, which sounds like a much happier prescription.
PRINCESS LAURINDA: [laughs] I think we all need a little Vitamin Sea.
It brings sunlight, ocean air and escapism into the story.
After midnight romance, sometimes you need to run toward the sea.
JULIAN: Then there is Moonflower. That title already sounds visual.
PRINCESS LAURINDA: Moonflower is one of those songs where the title almost creates its own image.
A flower blooming at night is a beautiful metaphor for the album itself.
Some emotions only reveal themselves when the world becomes quiet.
JULIAN: And Champagne Kisses?
PRINCESS LAURINDA: Glamour, flirtation and a little trouble. [laughs]
I wanted the album to have moments that feel elegant and playful.
Not every emotion needs to be complicated.
Sometimes you just need music, beautiful lights and champagne.
JULIAN: You are giving us just enough information to become curious.
PRINCESS LAURINDA: That is the plan.
There are other tracks that I would rather leave mysterious for now.
JULIAN: Such as?
PRINCESS LAURINDA: [laughs] Nice try, Julian.
JULIAN: I had to ask.
PRINCESS LAURINDA: And I had to protect the secrets.
Let's just say the second half of the album becomes darker, more intimate and more experimental.
There are emotions there that we haven't shown yet.
JULIAN: Does the visual world also become darker?
PRINCESS LAURINDA: Yes.
The visual journey moves between romance and mystery, softness and intensity, reality and imagination.
That contrast is very important to Princess Laurinda iArt Gallery.
I don't want everything to be beautiful in the same way.
Sometimes beauty needs shadow.
Sometimes romance needs darkness.
And sometimes the most interesting image is the one that makes you wonder what happened just before the picture was taken.
JULIAN: That sounds almost like filmmaking.
PRINCESS LAURINDA: That is exactly what we want it to feel like.
Not simply a collection of music videos or artworks, but a cinematic universe.
JULIAN: How important is DJ Laurinda XShows to this project?
PRINCESS LAURINDA: Very important.
DJ Laurinda XShows brings the musical identity and performance energy. Princess Laurinda iArt Gallery develops the visual emotion, and Nexth iTV becomes part of the larger presentation.
The collaboration allows music and visual art to tell the same story in different languages.
JULIAN: And where does AI Art fit into that story?
PRINCESS LAURINDA: AI gives us another way to imagine.
It allows us to explore visual worlds that would be difficult to create traditionally.
But the technology is not the emotion.
The artist still needs to decide what the image should make you feel.
That is the important part.
JULIAN: So what do you want the audience to feel when Bloom After Dark finally arrives?
PRINCESS LAURINDA: I want them to feel curious first.
Then emotional.
Maybe they remember someone.
Maybe they remember a summer night.
Maybe they see themselves in one of the songs.
And perhaps they discover that the visual art changes the way they hear the music.
JULIAN: If you had to describe the album without mentioning any song titles, what would you say?
PRINCESS LAURINDA: A summer night that slowly becomes midnight.
A love story that becomes a dream.
And a dream that becomes art.
JULIAN: That sounds like the perfect definition of Bloom After Dark.
PRINCESS LAURINDA: Perhaps.
But there is still much more to reveal.
JULIAN: One last question. Why should people be watching closely?
PRINCESS LAURINDA: Because this is only the beginning.
The music is coming.
The visual world is coming.
And some of the most interesting parts haven't been revealed yet.
JULIAN: So this interview is officially a teaser?
PRINCESS LAURINDA: Exactly.
